She earned NSCAA All-Conference, NSCAA All-Far West, & All-League (SCIAC) honors for several years of play in addition to having the pleasure of being named Captain and MVP during her years at Oxy. She also coaches for WPSL Parceiro Ladies as an assistant coach.

After finishing a Master’s Degree in Psychology and applying her experience as a soccer athlete at Occidental College and coach, she noticed a need for a focus on mindset coaching and mental performance in youth soccer players SIMULTANEOUS with skills training. Central to Warner Athletics coaching philosophy, we grow our players confidence by teaching technical, tactical, and physiological skills along with our mindset curriculum. With this combination, Warner Athletics players become unstoppable, on and off the pitch.

Melissa’s favorite things are: strong coffee, a good steak, staying active by exercise any time she can carve out with her two pups, fiancée & family, and getting to coach this incredible sport for a living.
